艾瑞克萊普頓在西洋樂壇素有"吉他之神"的美譽，五十多歲方育得一子，然而造化弄人，

 一九九一年三月，才四歲大的愛子康諾( Conor )竟從紐約數十層高的公寓住家意外摔下身亡，

艾氏傷痛之餘，寫下此曲，以紀念亡兒。

今天偶然聽到電台播放這首歌,

很悲傷的一首歌,每次聽都會不自覺感傷起來,

知道這首歌所代表的意涵後,更加喜歡它

整首歌聽來雖然充滿悲傷,但低沈嗓音令人格外感動,

顯現其失去愛子的傷痛心情

為人父母,視小孩為心頭肉,並承擔一輩子的責任

不一定要賺很多錢,只要孩子健康快樂的生活

或許就是許多父母心中的願望,

多麼偉大又無私的愛啊~~~
